The Commonwealth of Dominica is an independent island in the Caribbean Sea, and is the northernmost of the Winward Islands in the Lesser Antilles Archipelago. It was originally settled by the French, and then the British, which is why English remains the official language, with Dominican Creole French as a secondary vernacular.

The country is around 290 square miles and predominantly consists of rainforest, with 365 rivers and many waterfalls and springs. There are three national parks in Dominica, including the World Heritage Site Morne Trois Pitons, as well as Morne Diablotin and Cabrits. There are also sandy beaches in the northeast Calibishe area that are popular with tourists.

The Dominica Citizenship by Investment Program was introduced in 1993 by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica, allowing foreign investors to acquire citizenship. Dominica offers the cheapest citizenship by investment program. To qualify the applicants must fulfill one of the investment options below in addition to meeting the following criteria:

1. Government Fund Donation

A single applicant can qualify for a Commonwealth of Dominica passport after they donate $100,000 US dollars.

2. Real Estate Investment

Applicants need to buy approved real estate in the country for at least USD $220,000 and maintain ownership for a minimum of three years. Dominica Second passport holders are permitted to resell the property under the citizenship program after they have maintained ownership for three years.
